Police Public Relations Officer Reveals The Murder Of A 45-Year-Old Woman In Ibadan

On Wednesday morning, Olusayo Fagbemi, a 42-year-old woman has reported to have been murdered by yet-to-be-identified assailants at Sasa community in the Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Around 5:40 am, it was reported that Fagbemi was attacked and killed while she was washing plates in front of her house.

It was disclosed that Fagbemi’s cry attracted her neighbours to the scene.

When neighbours arrived, she was found in a pool of her own blood struggling and later passed on in the hospital.

Four females and a male – Mujeeb Tirimisiyu, Barakat Bello, Fagbemi, Grace Oshiagwu and Azeezat Shomuyiwa have been awfully killed in the area in the past three weeks.

Olugbenga Fadeyi, Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State claimed that the police were doing all they could to locate the criminals.

Fadeyi said, “At about 5:40am today (Wednesday), one Olusayo Fagbemi, aged 42 years, was attacked right at the frontage of her house when washing plates and she sustained injury on her head.

“At her shout, the husband rushed out and met her in the pool of her blood while the assailant(s) ran away. She was rushed to a hospital where she was confirmed dead. Efforts intensified while the police is on the trail of the assailants.”
