HAM23:Gov Bago, Dr. Osi and others receive 2023 humanitarian award

The 2023 Humanitarian Awards and Magazines (HAM) Gala, a significant event held in Abuja, witnessed 3,023 individuals and organizations working to uplift the underprivileged in society through acts of compassion and generosity.

The gala, which brought together celebrities with philanthropic interests, honored outstanding individuals who have made outstanding contributions to humanity. Among them: Support for Niger Governor Mohammed Bago (Bago Foundation) – Humanitarian Governor of the Year; Doctor Gideon Osi (Gideon and Joy Life Leadership Foundation) – “Humanitarian of the Year” Award;

Fatima Akilu (Nem Foundation) – Community support and humanitarian leader empowerment; Alhaji Muhammad Mustafa (Angry Ustaz), Water The Needy Foundation – Outstanding humanitarian foundation dedicated to providing clean water and improving public health. Fatima Mamman Daura (healing and empowerment) – Award for outstanding humanitarian initiatives to empower and support displaced people;

Hon. Engr. Sagir Ibrahim Koki, Vice Chairman of the Committee on Petroleum Resources (Midstream) of the House of Representatives, is a leading humanitarian and community capacity building activist.

Chief Jude Chidera Eze (UbiEgo Jude Foundation) – Humanitarian of the Year Award for Excellence in Empowerment and Development.

The others were Engr. Tukur Mohammed Lawal (Dokajin Funtua) a prominent humanitarian leader in community support and empowerment. Munira Suleiman Tanimu, Founder/President (Green Heart Impact Foundation) – Outstanding Humanitarian Award for Community Support and Empowerment of the Underprivileged; Secure the Future International Initiative (a non-governmental humanitarian organization that supports counseling and psychotherapy) Sparkle Foundation is the leading humanitarian NGO in the field of education. He was also honored.

Peter Akpanke, Vice Chairman, House of Representatives Regional Council and Subsidiaries Committee, Humanitarian Award for Rural Extension and Sustainable Resources (FCT); doctor. Benjamin Olowjebutu – Humanitarian Foundation Award for Excellence in Disease Control and Medical Innovation; Hajia Noyinmot Olasunkanmi Busari, Founder, NOBU Foundation – Humanitarian Award in Health and Eye Care; Umar B. Bindir, founder of Bindir Knowledge Center (BKC), a humanitarian leader in community support and educational capacity building; doctor. Chibuike Ehem – Youth Leadership Impact Award Champion; Jennifer Ephraim Foundation – Equity in Education Advocate Award; The Alkaita Legacy Foundation is a posthumous philanthropic award for achievements.

The list of winners also includes Bello Halliru Khalid, founder of BHK Foundation, a leading humanitarian organization for capacity building and education support. Omekaodinma Emmanuel Ikechukwu, founder of Riseonic Properties – Young Humanitarian Entrepreneur of the Year; Mark Aniogor Ifeakachukwu (Markdajeweller Limited) – Outstanding Humanitarian Volunteer of the Year and Abuja Continental Hotel – Corporate Social Responsibility Organization of the Year.

Project Director Emmanuel Anabueze said: “This event is a tribute to the spirit of compassion and dedication shown by these wonderful individuals and organisations. “Their tireless efforts pave the way to a better and more favorable future for all.”
