A viral post circulating on X, formerly known as Twitter, has stirred intense reactions online after a user shared a bizarre DNA test experience involving a married couple and their child.
The story quickly gained traction across social media, with many users expressing shock over the unexpected scientific explanation behind the results.
According to the post, the drama began after a man decided to carry out a DNA test on a child he believed was his. The results reportedly showed that he was not the biological father.
Despite the outcome, the man’s wife maintained that he was indeed the child’s father, prompting them to repeat the test multiple times. However, each test allegedly returned the same result.
Things became even more confusing when further analysis reportedly suggested that the man was not the child’s father but rather the child’s uncle — a conclusion that made little sense because he was said to be an only child.
After undergoing more advanced medical examinations, doctors allegedly discovered that the man was a chimera, a rare biological condition in which a person carries two different sets of DNA after absorbing a twin while still in the womb.
As a result, the DNA found in parts of his body differed genetically, leading to the surprising test outcome.
The X user wrote:
“DNA is scary. There’s a case of a woman who had a baby with her husband, but when he got a DNA test, it turned out he wasn’t the father.
“She insisted that he was the father, so they repeated the test several times, but it kept giving the same result.
“Later on, he discovered that according to the DNA results, he wasn’t the baby’s father but its uncle, which didn’t make sense because he was an only child.
“After more exhaustive tests, they discovered that the husband was actually a chimera, which means he had absorbed his twin in the uterus and carried two sets of DNA.
“So basically the baby was biologically the child of his twin brother, even though he was the father.”
