A resurfaced video of Nollywood star Funke Akindele has sparked fresh conversation online after she addressed why she rarely posts about her close friends and associates.

In the clip, the actress responded to a fan’s curiosity about her relationships, clarifying that her silence on social media does not signal any rift between her and anyone.

She explained that when people no longer appear in her posts, it is often simply because they are occupied with their own schedules and engagements, not because of conflict or misunderstanding.

During the interaction, a fan identified as Mide specifically asked her to share more content featuring Vee. Funke replied that Vee had already returned home, subtly stressing that everything was normal between them.

The filmmaker also used the opportunity to appreciate her supporters for their concern, noting that she values their interest in her personal and professional relationships.

Following the video’s circulation, many fans expressed relief, saying they were glad to know she remains on good terms with people they had assumed she had fallen out with. Others praised her for clearing the air, pointing out that she is currently focused on her busy schedule and upcoming movie projects, leaving little room for social media drama.

Some social media users also described her response as refreshing and entertaining, applauding her for directly addressing rumours instead of ignoring them.

The renewed attention comes shortly after blogger Tosin Silverdam suggested that all may not be well between Akindele and her long-time associate Kamo. According to the blogger, the pair, who were once very close and frequently shared moments together online and offline, have recently stopped posting about each other.

He further alleged that the change in their relationship may have followed professional collaborations involving Kamo, Toyin Abraham, and Kunle Afolayanfilmmakers who have reportedly had strained relations with Akindele in the past.
