“This is just a ploy to get him ministerial position” – reactions as NURTW ends MC Oluomo’s reign

Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, the chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages management committee, has called for the bodies of those allegedly killed at the Lekki toll gate during the #EndSARS protest of 2020.

MC Olumo said this during the five million man match for Tinubu in Lagos on Sunday.

This is as he stated that Tinubu’s counterparts in the presidential race, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, were responsible for the propaganda against Asiwaju during the #EndSARS protest.

According to him, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, could not be blamed for whatever transpired at the toll gate because he held no public office at the time.

He said, “Where are the bodies and where are they buried? Do they have relatives in Nigeria? Has Nigeria bribed the mothers of the deceased protesters? Why are their siblings not searching for them, even on social media? Or is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu a Chief of Army Staff or President who will order the killing of protesters at the (Lekki) Tollgate?”

“They’re lying to us, they want to undermine the Yorubas, everyone should come out. It is a political game. It was Atiku and Obi that conspired to do all those things then.”

Recall that youths had taken to the street in October 2020 to protest against police brutality.

The protest which lasted for weeks had its epicentre at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos where many youths converged to air their grievances.

However, on October 20, 2020, some soldiers stormed the spot to disperse the youths, with many now claiming that a massacre took place on the night.
