Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central lawmaker, expressed regret over the level of unrest in Niger State.

This was stated along with a breakdown of those killed in the troop ambush in Niger State and the evacuation helicopter crash on August 14, 2023.

Some brave soldiers of the Nigerian Army paid the ultimate price after insurgents ambushed them in the state’s Zungeru region.

On Monday morning, Sani lamented that he had just seen a video of potentially dangerous weapons and missiles that were allegedly owned by terrorists in the state.

He questioned how the arms entered the nation.

The ex-lawmaker argued that the fight against terrorism must continue to be the nation’s top priority.

According to him, “I watched a video clip of dangerous weapons and missiles allegedly owned by terrorists in the vast hinterlands of Niger State. How those weapons got into our country is a question that need answers. The war against terrorism should be our topmost priority.”
