1- Lawmakers Resolve To Probe Military Spending After Boko Haram Attacks

The House of Representatives is set to constitute an ad-hoc committee to investigate the spending of all funds appropriated for the Nigerian armed forces. This is following a motion, at plenary on Thursday, brought under matters of urgent national importance by the deputy minority leader, Chukwuka Onyema.

2- Buhari Cancels Planned Leave

President Muhammadu Buhari has canceled his five-day “casual leave” as a mark of respect for victims of Boko Haram attacks. Buhari had planned to spend the casual leave at his home country, Daura, Katsina State from November 27 to December 2.

3- APC Chieftain Tells Buhari To Attend Presidential Debate

A chieftain of the (APC) in Kano, Atiku Ahmad-Dungurawa has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to attend the proposed presidential debate. NAN reports that Ahmad-Dungurawa, the Coordinator, Door-To-Door Campaign for Buhari/Ganduje, made the call while addressing a news conference in Kano on Tuesday.

4- EFCC Denies Receiving N10m from Gov. Ganduje

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it did not receive N10 million donation from the governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje. Gistlover News recalls that the Kano governor had announced the donation when he received members of the organising committee of an anti-corruption marathon programme in Abuja.

5- NLC Says FG Refusing To Cooperate Over New Minimum Wage

NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, has said the Federal Government was refusing to cooperate with organized labour on the new minimum wage. Speaking on Tuesday, Wabba noted that the private sectors were actually cooperating with the labour unions on the proposed new wage than the government.

6- Normalcy Returns To Akwa Ibom Assembly As Sacked Lawmakers Flee

Proceedings commenced on Tuesday at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly following an earlier setback caused by the invasion of the Assembly by five sacked lawmakers. Gistlover News had reported that five recently sacked lawmakers were escorted into the Assembly complex by thugs and men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) who chased staff out of the complex.

The national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Tuesday assured President Muhammadu Buhari of the support of the people of South West. He spoke following the swearing in of Gboyega Oyetola as the new governor of Osun State.

9- Why Uche Nwosu May Leave APC – Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has disclosed that his former Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu, who is also a governorship aspirant, might quit the APC to realize his ambitions. Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday, the governor stated that he does not intend leaving the ruling party.

10- Falcons Reach 2018 AWCON Final, Seal W/Cup Ticket

The Super Falcons have booked a place in the final of the 2018 African Cup of Nations and a ticket to the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France after seeing off Cameroon. Thomas Dennerby’s side got the final ticket after Ngozi Ebere scored the final spot-kick in the shoot-out to end the clash 4-2.
