The home of Paschal Agbodike, who represents the Ihiala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was broken into and destroyed by unidentified thugs.

Gistlover has learned that the attackers broke into the home in Ubahi-Mbosi, Ihiala Local Government Area, of the state at around one in the morning on Tuesday.

According to reports, they randomly started shooting after finding the property unoccupied before setting the house on fire.

The area is under surveillance, according to DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, a state police spokesman who confirmed the incident.

He added, “The area has been condoned, and security operatives have been deployed in the area. There are ongoing surveillance efforts by the operatives.”

Because he is currently in Abuja performing his duties as a national legislator, Agbodike told pressmen on Tuesday that he learned about the incident over the phone.

Agbodike, who is also a former deputy speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, confirmed that security personnel had arrived at the scene, but the criminals had already left.

But he omitted to say whether he had any suspicions or whether it was a political conspiracy.

This platform learned that although no one was hurt, the thugs completely leveled the house, which consisted of a five-bedroom duplex that was fully furnished and had four living rooms and a kitchen.
