Afrobeats star Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, popularly known as Champz, has sparked reactions online after a video of him delivering a confident speech at a TEDx event emerged on social media.

The event was held at TEDxGrange School Lagos during a Children’s Day celebration themed “The Edge of Possible.” The student-led programme featured young speakers sharing ideas on confidence, creativity, resilience, and personal development.

In the viral video shared on his Instagram page, Boluwatife stood before his fellow students and delivered an inspiring message with confidence and composure. His speech focused on courage, perseverance, and the importance of believing in oneself, earning admiration from many viewers.

Speaking during the event, he said:

“What is the impossible? We call something impossible because it has never been done before. God is always by my side. Before I came up here, I was praying to myself, ‘God, please give me the confidence to overcome the nervousness I am facing.’”

He further stated:

“I am going to make the impossible possible. Who are you to tell me I won’t succeed? Rome was not built in a day; don’t expect all your dreams to be achieved at once. You have to be ready to take losses because in life, not everything goes according to plan. And when you take a loss, you plan how to get back up and come back stronger.”

The clip quickly gained attention online, with many social media users praising his confidence, eloquence, and maturity. Others also commended the values reflected in his speech, attributing them to the guidance and support he has received while growing up.

The moment has further increased public interest in the young Balogun, whose occasional public appearances continue to attract attention despite Wizkid’s efforts to keep his family life relatively private.
