“She has been working for over 20 years”- Man disappointed after seeing his matron’s old Mercedes 190 car

On TikTok, a video showing a Nigerian nurse’s old automobile after more than 20 years of employment has moved many to tears.

The Mercedes 190 from the earlier generation was parked at the hospital’s premises in the widely shared video.

Sharing the video online, a young man going by @u.g.l.y_skelemama on TikTok bemoaned how the circumstances were sapping his motivation.

He claims that after working as a nurse for more than 20 years, the matron was still unable to get a nicer vehicle.

He said: “My Matron just came to work and see what she drove to work after years. This work da pay abi e no da pay?”

Online users asserted in the TikTok comments section that nurses received little pay.

Zaraa said; “I swear the work no dey pay.” Tunde reacted: “Nurse and teacher der reward dey heaven no be for dis earth na why must of dem dey do racket.”

Maven Ace said: “Its easy to get jobs with Nursing, but the pay is little in most cases, meanwhile its abit difficult to get jobs with other qualifications in the arts and commercial side, but there jobs pays big.”
