Royal Wedding: Prince Harry And Meghan's Matchmaker RevealedRoyal Wedding: Prince Harry And Meghan’s Matchmaker Revealed

We know, per their joint BBC interview following their engagement, that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle first got to know each other over drinks in a London bar. Now we know who set up the date.

The identity of this mutual friend has been major guesswork for royal watchers, many pointed at Soho House consultant Markus Anderson, or Misha Nonoo, a fashion designer, with a solid spot in the London social scene.

Now E! reports they have nailed down the right woman — Violet von Westenholz, whose father is a baron and a buddy of Prince Charles. She knew Harry growing up, and now does PR for Ralph Lauren, which is how she’s connected to Meghan. The fashion house did work for Suits when Meghan was starring on the series.

“Harry was having a really hard time finding anyone. It’s hard enough finding someone new to date. He can hardly go on Tinder or a dating app like normal people, but to meet someone that you actually connect with, that was proving to be almost impossible. It was something he had confided in his closest friends about; he was ready to meet someone but it was so hard to actually find the right person,” E! reports.

Enter von Westenholz, who had “been a part of the London social scene for a while,” and invited Meghan into her inner circle. She reportedly told Harry she just “might just have the perfect girl for him.”

“It was definitely a set-up,” Meghan had revealed to the BBC. “It was a blind date. I didn’t know much about him and so the only thing I had asked her when she said she wanted to set us up was, I had one question, I said ‘Was he nice?'”

“I’d never, never even heard about her until this friend said ‘Meghan Markle,'” Harry added. “I was like, ‘Right okay, give me, give me a bit of background, like what’s going on here?’ When I walked into that room and saw her and there she was sitting there, I was like, ‘Okay, well I’m going to have to really up my game here.'”

And now … they’re planning a wedding.
