The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned of a possible security threat along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, urging security agencies to heighten surveillance in the coming weeks.
Speaking during Sunday’s church service, the cleric said he foresaw bandits blocking the busy highway sometime between July and August, although he noted that he could not specify the exact date.
He said:
“Ibadan, Lagos-Ibadan Express Road, July, August. I don’t know the precise time, but July, August, bandits will cross road, will block road. Lagos-Ibadan Express Road, they will block road. So the security agencies should know this, note this.”
Primate Ayodele called on security operatives to treat the warning seriously by strengthening monitoring and patrols along the expressway to help prevent any potential security incident.
His remarks have drawn attention on social media, with many Nigerians urging authorities to remain vigilant while others viewed the statement as a prophetic warning.
There is no official confirmation or intelligence from security agencies indicating that such an attack is planned
