A video is making the rounds on social media, showing how a fish company allegedly reports a massive loss.

According to the footage, the fish farm loses thousands of fish due to high heat.

Clearly, the heat in Nigeria has been one of the popular topics online, with many people coming online to share how the extreme heat affected them, resulting in a loss of sleep and making it unbearable.

However, a fish farmer in Delta State, Nigeria, has suffered the loss of thousands of fish due to high heat.

However, contradictory comments have emerged in response to the footage of the fish farm in Delta, with some sympathizing with the fish farmer and others claiming that the fish were killed because the farmer overstocked, resulting in a lack of water for the high number of fish in the pond.

Some people also claimed that those fish couldn’t have died from severe heat, suggesting that someone must have put fatal poisons on them.

Others in the comment section recommended him to go through the smoking procedure so that they wouldn’t lose everything because they could still make money by smoking.

See the reactions below.

yinkagram_: So, how can this be prevented? I suggest changing their water more frequently to regulate the water temperature.

_slimchadie: From experience….. run away from livestock…. This shit happened to my dad’s farm years ago and I know how it feels.

omiyanbless: Hmmmmm, that is lots of money down, Nigeria will not happen to you.

anitamayigoni: Not only heat caused this, it’s definitely low water level/ low oxygen or hunger. Catfish are strong breeds and can stand heat in a good water temperature.

mrblues_bakery: The loss is too much as a business owner, God please help them! Help all of us because it’s getting tougher.

goodgirl_paul: e Heat keh how? Anyways turn them to dry fish asap.

iamsheila_: That’s someone’s years of sweat and hardwork.. Kai dis is sad 😞.

kayodeoflagos: Heat doesn’t kill fish, probably hunger or low water level (low water level = low oxygen level) poor maintenance kills fish also.
