Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, a Nigerian singer, has made a bold statement following his recent appearance in the prominent Foreign digital magazine, I_D.

The emerging Afrobeat star didn’t hold back, claiming that no one can deny his significance on the worldwide Afrobeats stage.

In the interview, Rema asserted boldly, “No one can deny that I’ve impacted Afrobeats on a global scale,” sparking debate among fans and industry insiders.

The 22-year-old musician has played in far-flung parts of the globe, including India, where his music has struck a chord with a broad international audience.

Also one of his most remarkable feats was becoming the first artist to perform at the prestigious Ballon d’Or award ceremony, a global football event that brings together the sport’s biggest stars and dignitaries.

Rema’s statement goes beyond personal accolades, as he emphasized his aspiration to create a lasting legacy.

“It’s not about the trophies or the girls or none of that. One of the main goals is to touch generations to come,” he expressed.
