The 21-year-old footballer was said to have d!ed after a suspected food poisoning incident while visiting Nigeria on holiday.
According to reports making rounds online, Victor had gone out with friends before he suddenly fell critically ill and was later rushed to the hospital, where he reportedly passed away.
A post shared by sports journalist Ojora Babatunde claimed that the footballer’s mother had taken legal steps by reporting some of the deceased’s close associates, including his girlfriend, leading to their arrest as investigations continue.
The late footballer reportedly played for clubs including Royal Antwerp F.C. and had previous links with Southampton F.C..
Social media users have since reacted emotionally to the development, with many calling for a proper autopsy and thorough investigation before conclusions are drawn.
