Nollywood actress Susan Peters has revealed that her phone was stolen during the service of songs held in honour of late actor Alex Ekubo, adding to reports of thefts that allegedly occurred at the emotional gathering.
Taking to social media, the actress disclosed that her white iPhone 16 Pro Max went missing at the Monarch Event Centre, where family, friends and colleagues had gathered to pay tribute to the late actor.
In a series of posts, Susan appealed to whoever took the device to return it, stressing that the phone is locked and cannot be used by anyone else.
“Please my phone was stolen yesterday at the Monarch event center, someone just slipped their hands and took my phone from my bag. It’s a white iPhone 16 Pro Max. With my US line, it’s a locked phone so it’s useless to whoever has it,” she wrote.
The actress explained that the device contains important information she cannot afford to lose and noted that the phone carries her photograph on the screensaver, making it easy to identify.
She also revealed that she had already changed the passwords linked to her applications from another device and warned that the phone could be traced.
Expressing disappointment over the incident, Susan questioned how anyone could attend such a solemn occasion and still engage in theft.
“How do people come to such an emotional event and still have the guts to steal? Even after all Papa Jerry preached yesterday?” she asked.
The actress further pleaded with the individual responsible to return the phone, promising a reward for anyone who finds and returns it.
Her revelation comes shortly after reports emerged that reality star Bam Bam also allegedly lost her phone during the same memorial event, sparking concerns among attendees and social media users.
