The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Chairmanship aspirant, Shakiru Balogun, in Ikotun/Igando Local Council Development Area, LCDA, of Lagos, is dead.
According to reports, the deceased was crushed to death by a Private Sector Participation, PSP, truck.
The tragic incident happened at Okofilli bus stop, on the LASU Iba expressway.

Balogun, who was a former Chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, of the LCDA, lost the ticket to represent the party in the election.
He was said to be heading to the party Secretariat, as part of the preparation for the election, when he met his untimely end.
The deceased has been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
