Ace Nigerian rapper, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide, has opened up about why he often feels anxious before stepping on stage.

GistLover reports that in a recent interview with YouTuber Korty EO, the award-winning artist revealed that previous unpleasant encounters during performances have left him with lasting discomfort.

Olamide explained that on several occasions, he has been subjected to aggressive fan behaviour while performing, including incidents where people attempted to grab his chain or remove his hat on stage.

According to him, these experiences were frightening and have contributed to his nervousness whenever he prepares for live performances.

He said, “I get nervous every time I am going on the stage. I have had too many crazy experiences while performing. Someone from nowhere will just come and grab your chain or your hat, you don’t even know what to expect.”

In other news… A northern traveller identified as Bashir Dalhatu Liman has alleged that some passengers in Lagos refused to board a commercial bus with him because of his Fulani identity.

According to reports circulating online, the incident happened at a motor park where the man was preparing to travel from Lagos to Calabar. He claimed that other passengers objected to sharing the vehicle with him after identifying him as Fulani and allegedly referring to him as a “herdsman.”

The traveller narrated that the situation became uncomfortable, leading to further delays and public attention after videos of the incident surfaced online.

“Just because I’m a Fulani man, the passengers said they are not going with me.”

The report has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians condemning ethnic profiling and discrimination, while others pointed to growing security concerns and mistrust across communities.
