In an interview granted to Punch, Senator Melaye declared that he will get married to a Made-in-Nigeria woman. According to him;
“I am single. I have three children. But I am not married. I won’t remain single forever. Very soon I will invite you (to my wedding) and I assure you (that the person I will marry) will be a Made-in-Nigeria woman.”
This appears to be a dig at the outgoing Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole who married from outside Nigeria, about a year ago.
Senator Melaye confirmed that he currently has three children born by his first wife, and insisted that he has always been a one-man one-woman man.He however clarified that for now, he does not have a wife; “I don’t have a wife.”
