Popular Teniola Apata, professionally known as Teni, a Nigerian musician, sparked emotional reactions online in a recent post after exposing to all and sundry that she was diagnosed with a potentially fatal throat infection in July.

Teni, the “Uyo Meyor” singer, revealed that she was diagnosed with the virus while working on her second album, Tears Of The Sun.

This comes only a few months after she opened up about her weight-loss efforts to her admirers.

Teni, on the other hand, was hospitalised in September after experiencing recurring bouts of tiredness. Teni, who is having treatment but not undergoing surgery, released a video of her journey

Towards the end of the clip, the singer assured her fans that her new album, “Tears Of The Sun”, is heartfelt and would be out on the 17th of this month. She added that one of her singles “Malaika” is her song of gratitude to God.
