A popular hourglass model has sparked widespread reactions on social media after making a surprising claim about the money she allegedly earned from removing parts of her ribs in pursuit of her ideal body shape.
In a viral video circulating online, the model alleged that she sold each of her removed ribs for $600, an amount roughly equivalent to ₦830,000 in Nigerian currency.
She further claimed that the human body is made up of 24 ribs, but said she has had 20 removed and sold, leaving her with only four ribs.
Based on her calculation, she stated that she has earned about ₦16.6 million from the alleged sales so far.
The model also explained that out of the four ribs she says remain, two are straight while the other two are bent naturally.
Her comments have since triggered intense reactions online, with many users expressing shock, skepticism, and concern over the extreme lengths some people reportedly go in the pursuit of body enhancement and beauty ideals.

Your ribs protect major organs like the heart and lungs and help with: * breathing, * supporting the upper body, * protecting blood vessels and organs. Some cosmetic procedures may remove portions of the lower floating ribs (usually the 11th and 12th ribs), but removing most of the rib cage would cause catastrophic instability, organ exposure, severe breathing problems, and likely death.
