Veteran Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, widely known as Aki, and his wife, Stephanie, have recently found themselves at the center of online discussions after fans noticed changes in their social media presence.

The speculation began after blogger Truestoriesd with Ifeomafans highlighted Stephanie’s noticeable weight loss, prompting questions about whether she had embarked on a fitness or weight-loss journey. The post also fueled rumours that there could be trouble in the couple’s marriage.

According to the blogger, Stephanie had reportedly made changes to her social media profile, while some followers also observed that the couple had not appeared together in comedy skits for quite some time. The post further questioned the state of their relationship, noting that it is the actor’s second marriage and suggesting he keep his private life away from public scrutiny.

Reacting to the rumours in a video that has since gone viral, Stephanie dismissed the speculation with a humorous response, joking about her husband’s whereabouts.

She said:

“So guys, I want to reply to this comment, some of you have been asking me where Mr Legend is. The thing is that I actually sold him. I sold him off to an Iranian… but after two or three days, they returned him and said he’s too dark. They asked if I could bleach him, but it didn’t work. So I refunded them.”

She continued the joke by saying:

“Afghanistan later called and said I should deliver him to them. I did, and I just pray they are okay with his complexion. The money is still here with me. So that is it. Yes, I came back and made vegetable soup freshly.”

Her lighthearted remarks have since attracted mixed reactions online, with many fans interpreting the video as a playful way of shutting down the rumours surrounding her marriage to the Nollywood star.
