“I feel inspired by Afrobeats” – DJ Khaled reveals he has Burna Boy on his upcoming album and would love to work with Tems

The DJ emphasised a spiritual connection he feels with Afrobeats and Dancehall when detailing how Afrobeats inspired him.

Khaled Mohammed Khaled, also known as DJ Khaled, a popular American disc jockey and record producer, claimed in an interview with Rolling Stone that he is inspired by Afrobeats.

Dj Khaled disclosed to the journalist that he is 75 percent finished with his album, which will be published in the year 2024.

While talking about how much he enjoyed working with Canadian rapper Drake, he disclosed that popular Nigerian Afrobeat musician Burna Boy would appear on his future album.

The DJ emphasised a spiritual connection he feels with Afrobeats and Dancehall when detailing how Afrobeats inspired him.

He also stated that he would love to collaborate with Grammy winner Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems.

According to rolling stones;

“He’s also got Burna Boy on the album, and he says he’s been feeling inspired lately by Afrobeats, finding a similar spiritual connection to the one he feels with dancehall: Khaled’s time in Jamaica early in his DJ career gave him a special affinity for Caribbean culture.”

Fans of both Afrobeats singer have applauded Burna Boy and Tems for constantly putting Nigeria and Afrobeats on the map, while others appreciated the Disc Jockey.
