Controversial self-acclaimed relationship expert, Blessing CEO, has reacted to the reported death of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, who allegedly died after battling stage 4 liver cancer.

Reports making rounds online claimed that the actor passed away in a Lagos hospital on Monday after quietly battling the illness for several months.

The news of his alleged death has continued to trigger emotional reactions from fans, colleagues, and public figures within and outside the entertainment industry.

Reacting through her Instagram page, Blessing CEO shared a photo of the late actor alongside an emotional message that appeared to reference her own cancer controversy earlier this year.

She wrote:

“God will punish cancer. We waited for u to show up. You fought silently. Rest in peace.”

Her reaction quickly sparked conversations online, with many social media users linking her statement to the controversy surrounding her earlier health claims.

Recall that in March 2026, Blessing CEO publicly appealed for financial assistance, claiming she was undergoing chemotherapy treatment for stage 4 breast cancer.

However, the claim later generated backlash after the Nigerian Medical Association allegedly accused her of altering another patient’s medical report from Xinus Medical Diagnostics.

The medical document, reportedly signed by consultant pathologist Dr. O.A. Odigwe, became a major topic of debate after critics questioned its authenticity.

Amid the controversy, social media critic VeryDarkMan reportedly submitted a petition approved by the Inspector-General of Police, requesting an investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, the latest reports surrounding Alex Ekubo’s alleged death have reignited conversations online about cancer awareness, transparency regarding public health issues, and the emotional impact of terminal illnesses on families and loved ones.
