Founder of Salvation Ministries David Ibiyeomie, has said anyone whose phone rings in the church has poverty mentality.

The clergyman who made this assertion while preaching in his church recently, gave reasons behind his statement and said a wealthy man would never switch on his phone in church.

His words,

“Anyone whose phone rings in church is a poor man; his thinking is poor. Rich people don’t switch on their phones in church because they don’t want anybody to disturb them.

But poor people switch it on because they want alert; It is a sign of poverty. You will never see a wealthy man switch on his phone in church, he will say, “I want to hear something that will help improve my life”.

But the poor will say, “Make I see weda somebody go send me money”. It is a poverty mentality. You are in a church where the poor come and become wealthy.

Off your phone but if your phone rings you have signed up for poverty. Your mentality is poor, it’s not money in your pocket yet. Somebody say I hear.”

In recent news Sensational singer, Davido Adeleke vouches on his life to make sure resources donated to charity organizations don’t get embezzled by welfare officials.

This is coming after a Twitter shared the singer’s N250M charity gesture with her mother who narrated experience on how welfare officials often reserve resources for themselves other than disbursing to the children whom they were meant for.

“I told mum what Davido did and I’ve never seen her revolt so passionately against something. She said the money won’t get to the children cos welfare officers steal all. I hate Nigeria she said it’s so bad that nurses never want to leave welfare homes when they’re posted there,” the Twitter user wrote.

In response, the billionaire’s son wrote, “I will personally make sure this doesn’t occur!! I put that on my life!”
