The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, says all parts of Nigeria will benefit from the development effort of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

During a courtesy call on Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Garbai, the Shehu of Borno, Shettima provided the assurance in Maiduguri on Friday.

Shettima claimed that the young administration was aware of the hardships that Nigerians were experiencing and was doing something about it.

He claimed that some of the government’s difficult decisions were a result of the situation in which the country found itself.

The government will introduce a number of programs that will improve the lives of our people in the upcoming weeks and months, so rest assured.

“We are here to investigate the wheat production plan in Borno with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.

We will discuss how to restart the wheat production scheme in Borno and the country as a whole with the governor and his team tomorrow, and it should be very fruitful.

In order to restart the Puulaku Initiative in North West as a non-kinetic solution to the problem facing the people, the President has approved N50 billion under the auspices of NEMA, and I will be traveling there from here, Shettima said.

The vice president also announced that the president had given the go-ahead for the construction of 1000 homes in the states of Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue.

He added that the victims would be diverse in the states of Kaduna and Benue and that the housing estates would include ancillary facilities like clinics and schools among others.

He pleaded with Nigerians to have patience and support the administration as it gets ready to deliver.

Shettima additionally acted as Tinubu’s representative when the governor commissioned some health and education projects. To commemorate his 100 days in office, Babagana Zulum praised the governor for his outstanding leadership in distributing democratic dividends to the people.

I would like to thank the governor on behalf of the president for his outstanding leadership and his dedication to the well-being of our people.

The Shehu of Borno earlier mentioned the security issues in his emirate and the demand for additional support for a full resumption of economic activity when he welcomed the vice president.

In addition to congratulating President Tinubu and Kashim on their victory at the election tribunal, the Shehu urged them to extend hands of friendship to their political rivals in order to work together to advance the country.
