A young lady has stirred conversations on social media after sharing her unconventional approach to marriage as a Gen Z wife.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), she explained that she does not conform strictly to traditional expectations placed on married women, noting that she and her husband have adopted a more flexible way of handling household responsibilities.

According to her, chores are shared rather than assigned to one person. She revealed that she does not wash her husband’s clothes, adding that her husband takes care of both his own laundry and hers.

She emphasized that her marriage has not changed her sense of identity or lifestyle, saying she is not attempting to fit into society’s definition of a “perfect wife.”

The lady also said she does not cook every day, explaining that their household operates on mutual understanding rather than rigid roles. When both of them are tired, they either eat out or choose other convenient options.

“I’m not trying to look married. I dress to be comfortable, alive and sexy. I just got married, I’m not losing my style. I don’t cook every day. If I’m tired, we rest or eat out,” she said.

Her comments have triggered mixed reactions online. While some users praised her modern and balanced view of marriage, others insisted that traditional marital roles should not be abandoned.

The debate has further fueled ongoing discussions about how Gen Z couples are reshaping expectations around marriage and shared responsibilities in contemporary relationships.
