An old video of Apostle Kassy Kelechi Chukwu, General Overseer of Peniel Global Ministries and Senior Special Assistant on Digital Media to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, has resurfaced online.
The clip, recorded ahead of the 2023 presidential election, shows the cleric openly criticising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The video is trending again following Apostle Chukwu’s recent alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC), the same party led by Tinubu. This marks a shift from his earlier support for Labour Party candidate Peter Obi.
During a Sunday service at the time, the preacher strongly spoke against Tinubu and warned people not to support him.
Speaking from the altar, Apostle Kassy Chukwu said:
“Anybody that will endorse Tinubu, that person’s family, they will not enjoy 2022. Anybody that will endorse Tinubu for presidency, bad thing will begin to happen to that person. If Jagaban rule this country as Nigeria, I will leave this country. You will not see me again. He will not come. He’s a stupid man.”
However, weeks ago, the cleric made a U-turn, revealing that he regretted supporting Peter Obi in the 2023 election. He has now openly declared support for Tinubu and expressed willingness to back him for re-election in 2027.
On March 29, Apostle Chukwu also shared a lengthy message celebrating Tinubu’s 74th birthday.
The resurfaced video has since sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms.
