“FG Knows Every Terrorist by Name and Location” – Sheikh Gumi

Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi has claimed that the Federal Government of Nigeria is aware of the identities and locations of terrorists operating in the country.

Speaking about his controversial meetings with armed groups, the cleric explained that he does not negotiate with them alone. According to him, he usually attends such meetings accompanied by members of the police, the military, and other security agencies.

“The FG knows every terrorist by name and location. I do not go alone to negotiate with the terrorists. I go with police, military, and other security agencies,” Gumi said.

He explained that his involvement in the meetings is part of wider efforts aimed at dialogue and resolving the security challenges affecting several communities.

Following his statement, many Nigerians reacted on social media, expressing different opinions about the claim.

One user, @MrCentc, wrote: “Northern elites and government knows everything about bandits and terrorists operation. Gumi don’t act alone, they know, reason they do nothing when they strike. My people are in trouble.”

Meanwhile, @idris_senator added: “I understand now. Gumi he saying the truth, because any terrorist that last for 48hr government hands dey inside. Few days ago the NSA told us that bandits are our brothers and they can’t kill them. So whether you like Gumi or you don’t like him he is saying the truth.”
