The incident, narrated by a social media user named Lord Zeus 101, occurred when the gang allegedly attempted to steal bags of rice from a shop late at night.

Details of the Lynching

According to Lord Zeus, the thieves were confronted by the vigilante group. It was alleged that the vigilantes opened fire, resulting in three suspects being gunned down while three others fled. The villagers later reportedly set the suspects ablaze.

Ebuka Okonkwo, who was among those caught, allegedly confessed before his death that it was his first time joining the gang for such an operation in the area.

The post detailing the unfortunate incident questioned whether the newlywed wife was aware of her husband’s criminal activities.
