Mohbad’s friend, Damola, has disputed claims made by the late singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, that Mohbad and his partner, Wunmi, never held a traditional wedding.
Mr. Aloba had previously stated in a video that the ceremony was merely an introduction, which he was allegedly pressured into attending without proper notice. He maintained that a traditional wedding requires the presence of the family head, which did not happen.
Mr. Aloba claimed that Mohbad had promised to marry Wunmi after she gave birth but reneged on the promise after catching her cheating. Based on this cheating allegation, Mr. Aloba has insisted on a DNA test for Mohbad’s son, Liam.
The father insisted that the ceremony was never a traditional wedding:

To challenge the father’s account, Mohbad’s friend, Damola, released several videos of the said traditional wedding ceremony.
