Former Big Brother Naija star Vee Iye has shared candid thoughts about her dating journey, admitting that finding true love has been anything but simple.
In a video posted on her social media page, the singer and media personality said dating is generally tough, but navigating relationships in Lagos presents even more unique hurdles.
Vee emphasized that she is determined to avoid situationships or any relationship that could jeopardize her future. Her greatest concern, she revealed, is falling for the wrong man someone who might get her pregnant and leave her with lasting regrets.
“It is my mission in life to avoid the wrong man getting me pregnant,” she explained. “It’s not about feeling superior to anyone in that situation, but I’m passionate about staying out of it. Maybe that’s why I struggle to find the kind of love I want.”
Although she acknowledged that no one can completely predict another person’s behavior, Vee believes women can often pick up warning signs early.
The 27-year-old entertainer also pushed back against the popular saying that “experience is the best teacher,” insisting that it doesn’t apply when it comes to matters of the heart.
“When it comes to choosing a life partner, I try my best to get it right,” she said. “People say experience is the best teacher, but not in my world. I don’t need heartbreak or drama to know what’s wrong for me.”
