The spokesman for the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation, Dr Daniel Bwala, has described the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and his Obidient Movement, as a “scam”.

He stated this while reacting to the suspension of Obi’s 2023 presidential campaign over the ongoing flood disaster ravaging the nation.

Remember that Obi announced the suspension of his 2023 presidential campaign when he visited the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom in Abuja on Wednesday.

His decision was birthed by the plight of citizens affected by the flood that has wreaked havoc in several places in the country for a few weeks.

Obi also called on presidential candidates of Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress, Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu respectively to follow suit.

According to him, if the candidates can purchase their party’s expression of interest form for millions of Naira, they should be able to render help to the victims who lost their belongings during the flooding.

“I personally stopped and told my people no more campaign, until we are able to visit some of the sites, at least sympathise with those going through problems.

“I came to take permission and ask him (Ortom) that I want to visit some of the sites in Benue as I am going to do in one or two other states.

“I am also calling other presidential candidates to stop campaigning and see what we can do.

“If we can buy our forms for millions of naira, we should have some little thing to go, now that people are suffering, and at least show sympathy with them and then we can continue,” Obi had said.

But Atiku’s presidential campaign spokesman, Bwala on Twitter described Obi and his supporters as a scam.

Bwala also posted a picture of Peter Obi wearing clothes have Labour Party insignia.

He wrote, “Scam; he said he has put campaigns on hold to visit victims of flood. See him here with Labour Party logo. Everything about that movement is a scam.”

Bwala did not stop at Obi, he also took a swipe at the ruling APC, saying in another tweet, “In 2016, APC said within 3 years they would produce Distributable 10k mega watts power to homes. When asked if they delivered in 2022, they started speaking in tongues. All Promises Cancelled.”
