Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Stanley Omah Didia, known professionally as Omah Lay, has once again addressed his ongoing struggle with depression—this time suggesting that a large financial boost could offer short-term relief.

In a post shared on Tuesday via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, the “Soso” crooner remarked that receiving £10 million or $10 million could ease his emotional pain, albeit briefly.

“10M in pounds or dollars right now will heal me for at least a month,” he wrote, triggering mixed reactions from fans aware of his long-standing mental health challenges.

Omah Lay has been consistently open about his battle with depression, a condition he once admitted nearly claimed his life. His debut studio album, Boy Alone, released in July 2022, offered raw insight into his feelings of isolation, emotional turmoil, and personal vulnerability.

The artist is now gearing up for the release of his second album, Clarity of Mind, which is expected to further explore his journey toward healing and self-acceptance.

Previously, Omah Lay disclosed that his mental health took a deeper hit following an inappropriate relationship with his therapist an experience he revealed shortly after Boy Alone dropped, adding more emotional depth to his music.

As anticipation builds for Clarity of Mind, Omah Lay continues to advocate for mental health awareness through his platform, using his voice to challenge stigma and promote honest conversations around emotional well-being.
