A viral video has captured the moment a man confronted a group of men allegedly putting up political banners for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu, questioning why they would accept such a job.
In the footage, the visibly angry man was heard asking the workers:
“They give una this kain job and una collect am? You no dey shame for yourself?”
The incident quickly triggered mixed reactions on social media, with Nigerians divided over the morality of the act and the economic reality behind it.
Some users argued that the men were only trying to survive in a harsh economy, while others criticised both the workers and the political system that normalises such campaign practices.
@Sure_plug0 wrote, “Na true talk o! Dem dey collect this kain job like say na the best thing wey dey. But the real shame na the system wey make people no get better options.”
However, @MrJAIYEjeje0m0 defended the workers, saying, “Na their own way to feed their family ooo… yes the people wey dey the banner na oloriburuku but eni ran ni nishe la beru!!!”
@UrbanEmpireOnX also reacted, “Because of bad government make your family no chop?🙆”
Others blamed the political system, while some insisted that survival comes first in the current economic situation.
