A video of Vice President Kashim Shettima opening the car door for his Brazilian counterpart, Geraldo Alckmin, has stirred debate online.
Geraldo was in Nigeria recently and had a meeting with Shettima. After the meeting, Shettima saw him off to his car and went ahead to open the door for him to enter
While some Nigerians praised Shettima’s gesture as a sign of humility and courtesy, others argued it was inappropriate for a Vice President to perform such an act.

In other news…. Popular Nollywood star Ruth Kadiri has opened up about why she keeps her husband, Mr. Ezerika, away from public attention.
Speaking on the Dear Ife podcast hosted by Diary of a Naija Girl, Kadiri explained that her decision to maintain a private marriage stems from a desire to avoid unnecessary drama, not because she’s hiding anything.
The mother of two noted that her husband is very much a part of her life, including her career in the spotlight. She mentioned that they attend events together, contrary to public assumptions.
Kadiri also pointed out that her husband simply prefers staying out of the limelight. She added that she finds it puzzling when people expect her to constantly flaunt her relationship online, insisting that privacy and secrecy are two very different things.
She said, “We go to church together, we attend events together, my life is not as private as people think. In the events I organize, my husband is always there.”
“For clarity, my husband is not a secret. People who know me, know him. And for me, that’s enough. Like, I don’t know why I will sit down and be thinking, what am I proving?”
