Victor Moses Dedicates 1st Spartak Goal to End SARS Protests

Victor Moses has dedicated his first goal for new club Spartak Moscow to #EndSARS protests in Nigeria.

Moses scored Spartak’s second goal in the 33rd minute in the 3-1 win at Krasnodar in his first start for the Russian giants, to consolidate their position at the top of the league table after 12 games.

There’ve been mass protests in several states across the country calling for an end to police brutality, extortion, and extrajudicial killings across the country, with several peaceful protesters killed by alleged state security operatives.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner was replaced by Andrei Eshchenko in the 67th minute.

The 29-year-old dedicated his goal to the protesters after the game.

“Brilliant win today and delighted to get my first goal for the club. I dedicate my goal to the people of Nigeria. Enough is enough,” Moses, who is on loan from Chelsea, tweeted

“Nigerians have the right to protest and not be killed for it. #PrayForNigeria.”
