Mr Ibu revealed in the distressing video that doctors informed him they could have to amputate his leg if he didn’t exhaust all other alternatives.

Nollywood actor John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu, has appealed to the public for assistance as he battles an illness that could cost him his leg.

In a video posted to his Instagram page, the veteran disclosed that he had been hospitalized for several weeks.

Mr Ibu revealed in the distressing video that doctors informed him they could have to amputate his leg if he didn’t exhaust all other alternatives.

He made his account number public, asking for prayers and help.

His daughter, Jasmine Okafor, elaborated on his comments, saying that the veteran isn’t getting better and that they’ve depleted all of their financial resources, hence the public appeal.

She appealed to everyone who could assist in getting him to a better medical facility.

GISTLOVER stated that Mr Ibu’s admirers and lovers had sent prayers his way as he celebrated his birthday in the hospital.

On Tuesday, the veteran turned 62 and spent it in the hospital with his wife and children.

Jasmine Okafor, his daughter, had shared a devastating video of him on a hospital bed with a cake and a pack of drinks in front of him as he sat up in pain to rejoice with them.

She conveyed her grief at seeing him in the hospital on what was intended to be a happy day for him.

She revealed that the veteran has been fighting a good fight for the last two weeks and is still standing tall.

Jasmine added that her greatest desire for him is to see him healthy and back on his feet.
