Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, is a talented singer, songwriter, and performer whose song ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez has become the first song in history to spend a year at the top of the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart.

On Monday, August 28, 2023, the American data collection company ‘Chart Data’ announced this.

The song topped the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs list for 52 weeks.

When the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) inaugurated the MENA Chart on November 29, 2022, ‘Calm Down’ debuted at No. 1.

‘Calm Down’ also became the first No. 1 hit on The Official MENA Chart (the world’s first regional streaming chart) to reach the Guinness World Records.

Rema got signed to Jonzing World Records, which is owned by D’Prince and has a relationship with Mavin Records, in 2019.
