A plane crash in Tehran, Iran has killed all the passengers and crew members on board Ukrainian flight, according to Iran’s state-run Press TV.

Earlier reports from Iranian media said that 180 people were on board.

The Ukraine International Airlines plane crashed after takeoff due technical difficulties, according to Iran’s semi-official news agency ISNA.

According to Flighradar24 flight tracker, the Ukraine International Airlines flight 752 was scheduled to take off at 5:15am Tehran time (01:45 GMT) for the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.

A video posted by Iran’s ISNA news agency showed a faint glow of light flickering in the dark shortly before a huge fireball was seen.

Photos posted online by ISNA also showed wreckage of the plane scattered all over the ground, as emergency personnel inspected the area.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Iran told CNN it is gathering a list of passengers killed.

“Our consul is working at Tehran airport, we are gathering a list of passengers killed in the crash this morning. We don’t have final numbers yet, we are working in contact with the rescue teams on the site and Ukrainian International Airlines office in Iran,” the embassy said.

A photo later published by Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency showed rescue officials in a farm field, with what appeared to be pieces of the aircraft lying nearby.
