A Nigerian woman based in the United Kingdom has captured attention online after posting an emotional video about being left by her Nigerian boyfriend for a woman from Zimbabwe.
The woman, who goes by preciousonyegu1 on TikTok, shared her feelings in a heartfelt clip.
In the video, she tearfully voiced her frustration and heartbreak, highlighting what she sees as increasing rivalry between Zimbabwean and Nigerian women over Nigerian men living abroad. She expressed confusion over why a Zimbabwean woman would pursue her partner when there are plenty of men from her own country.
The woman explained that her boyfriend ended their relationship because he was drawn to the Zimbabwean woman’s physical appearance. She admitted feeling deeply hurt by the breakup and shared her concern about getting older, mentioning that she is nearing menopause and feels that time is no longer on her side.
“Zimbabwean ladies, what’s this competition between you and Nigerian ladies over own prosperity, our own men. Don’t you have men in your country? My boyfriend left me in the UK over a Zimbabwean lady just because I don’t have big nyash and front… I’m really frustrated right now cause I’m nearing menopause. Leave our men alone.”
