The Federal Government has again been unable to come to reach a consensus with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over its ongoing nationwide strike. This is coming after federal government and union held a three-hour closed-door meeting on Monday at the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja ended without a resolution.

The British Government has made it clear that it will maintain neutrality when Nigerians head to the polling units in 2019 to elect new leaders of the nation for the next four years. The International School Ibadan has been reopened after it was closed, on November 19, over the use of Hijab by female Muslim students. Some parents had insisted that the use of Hijab was a constitutional right of female children, forcing the institution to close down. However, the school was reopened for academic activities on Monday as security personnel manned entry points in the institution.

8- Dan-Ali Diverting Military Funds For APC Campaign – PDP

The PDP has accused the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, of diverting funds meant for the military equipment and welfare of soldiers to the campaign of the APC. In a statement on Monday by the spokesperson of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party accused the minister of diverting part of the military funds to produce APC’s campaign materials including an electronic memento book, on which he was alleged to have ascribed credit to himself and the APC.
