“This is why we lost the final” – VeryDarkMan comments on Tinubu’s reaction after the Super Eagles scored

A popular activist from Nigeria named VeryDarkMan recently made fun of President Tinubu for his reaction after the Super Eagles scored in the AFCON final.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final took place yesterday, February 11, 2024. However, the Nigerian Super Eagles were defeated 2-1 by the Ivory Coast, the host nation, on Sunday, February 11, 2023, so failing to win the prize.

First-half play saw the Super Eagles take an early lead, but the Elephants of Ivory Coast responded with a goal in the second half and then another later in the match.

The Elephants of Ivory Coast tied the score in the second half and later in the game, but the Super Eagles had taken an early lead in the first half.

But a video of President Tinubu rejoicing after the Super Eagles scored in the championship game went viral online, evoking multiple reactions.

President Tinubu may be seen in the video enjoying the Troost Ekong goal, unable to stand but beaming with immense excitement as he lifts his hand in celebration.

In response to the Tinubu video, VeryDarkMan slams the president for his choice of celebration, saying that he feels too big to be excited about the Nigerian Super Eagles.

In addition, VeryDarkMan stated that the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s defeat in the AFCON Final might be attributed in part to President Tinubu’s style of celebration.

Using his expertise in football analytics, VeryDarkMan stated that player Iwobi needs to step up his game and that the Super Eagles’ midfield performance against Ivory Coast in the AFCON final was insufficient.

Additionally, he advises Ghanaians not to take drag seriously when it comes to Nigerians, saying instead that we should all celebrate Ivory Coast as the champions and live in love.
