“Hat Trick” – Davido secures No. 1 spot as the most streamed global Afrobeat artist in 2023, beats Wizkid and Burna Boy

Burna Boy, a Nigerian musician, songwriter, and record producer, gained notoriety on social media after he asserted that there are only two people who are as good as the “big 3” and that he is the other.

The artist abruptly paused to speak to his fans after being heard singing one of his new songs during a concert.

He could be heard saying, “Next time anybody tells you about anything called the ‘big 3’, tell them there’s only the ‘big 2’ and then, there’s Burna Boy.”

Although it’s unclear to whom the singer was referring when he said “the big two,” many have speculated that he meant Wizkid and Davido, and that since Burna Boy isn’t in the same league as them or in their category, there are just the big two and Burna Boy.

However, his message has gained attention on social media, with many people sharing their thoughts on the post’s comment page.

@diamonddemola: “He’s not even big two, he’s third force! Let him continue to denigrate his people for validations, we still love Wizzy and David more than him. It’s not just about good music, it’s also about impact and how you are perceived at home. Burna too dey find enemies where there’s none.”
