Popular Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth has come under backlash from netizens after he opened up on stance with his wife.
During an interview with TV3 Ghana, the comedian stated that he valued his privacy but felt compelled to discuss his separation despite his initial reluctance.
Basketmouth, during a recent interview, reiterated that he separated from his wife right after they celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary. Despite the split, he mentioned that everything appears to be amicable between them. However, he acknowledged that he is currently in the process of trying to navigate through the situation.
He said: “I am separated right now, people thought it was a joke, but it wasn’t. Is that way of promoting a show, you definitely do not know my design; I don’t bring my personal matters on public space, but it was something I needed to do for reasons best known to me.”
Some fans seemed unpleased with his recent revelation and queried him.
