Dr. Kayode Fayemi, a former governor of Ekiti State, has characterised President Bola Tinubu’s Supreme Court triumph as the highest court’s illustration of the values of justice and fairness.

The cases of Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party contesting Tinubu’s announcement as the winner of the presidential election on February 25 were dismissed by the Supreme Court on Thursday.

In response, Fayemi wrote in a congratulatory message endorsed by Ahmad Sajoh, the head of his media office, on Friday that the win has further validated Tinubu’s win in the polls and is evidence of the confidence Nigerians have in the APC and the President’s ability to lead the country.

‘’In celebrating the President’s victory, we must also be mindful of the need to avoid triumphalism,’’ he said,

In addition to recognizing the need of leading an inclusive administration, the former chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum urged the president to adopt this philosophy by interacting with his rivals in politics and promoting harmony.

According to Fayemi, the rise of one political party in a democracy does not always mean that others are losing; rather, it can be interpreted as a chance to collaborate for the benefit of the entire nation. In order to prevent any distractions, he thus pleaded with the appellants to support the President in his difficult job of leading Nigeria.

. “All hands must be on deck at this moment.”

“As we move forward, it is essential that we prioritize the development, security, and prosperity of Nigeria above all else. I urge the President to use his victory as an opportunity to heal the divisions in our country and to build a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria for all,’’ he added.
