Nigerian model Ivy Ifeoma’s post generated speculation that she and her lover, singer Paul Okoye, are currently going through a difficult time in their relationship.

Ivy appeared to criticize Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy, for saying that men only care about respect and not love.

It all began when the 41-year-old, said on his Instagram page a few weeks ago that sometimes a man only needs to be respected from his partner rather than to be loved.

According to him, respect is the only thing that matters to men because they are not always concerned with love. He stated:

“For Men… Sometimes it’s not all about love. RESPECT… is all that matters!!!.”

Ivy, Paul’s lover, expressed her displeasure with this claim recently on her Instagram stories.

Ivy quoted her lover and inquired, “What distinguishes a man’s partner from any other person if all that matters to him is respect?”

Ifeoma continued by reminding men that respect must be earned and not demanded as if their lives depended on it.

She urged them to stop acting like dogs and respect their partners as well. Her words are:

“Men don’t need love, all they need is respect.”

This days comes after she flaunted a ring on her finger and gave people the impression that he proposed marriage to her.

Fans had taken to social media to congratulate her while critics raised concerns about the possibility of the rushing their relationship.

To clear the air over speculations, Ivy said that it is just a fashion ring and not an engagement ring as many believed.
