- Channels Television has denied profiting from land allocated in Guzape, Abuja, following comments by Wike.
- The media house also challenged the minister to publish the full list of journalists allocated land in the FCT.

Channels Television has responded strongly to comments made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, regarding land allocations to journalists in Abuja.
In a statement released after Wike’s remarks, the media organisation denied allegations suggesting it was profiting from land allocated in Guzape, Abuja.
“We are not making money from the Guzape land, and it was allocated to us 19 years ago by the then FCT minister, so the statement is not correct,” the statement read.
The television station further defended its reputation, stressing that it would not allow any attempt to undermine its credibility.
“We will not allow any form of deflection from the trust we have built over the last 30 years,” it added.
Channels Television also challenged the FCT Minister to publicly disclose the full details of land allocations made to journalists and media organisations within the Federal Capital Territory.
The media house called on Wike to “publicly release the full list of journalists who received land in the FCT and state what the lands were allocated for.”
The exchange follows comments reportedly made by Wike during a media interaction, where he raised concerns over land allocations involving media practitioners.
