Jayeola Kuti, professionally known as Jaiye Kuti, a popular Nollywood actress, has screamed out in dread, pleading with her fans to pray for her and her children after becoming stranded in traffic with them at midnight.
The actress turned to Instagram to reveal details about how she left Ikeja, Lagos, around 7 p.m., but they were still not home at around midnight.
After being trapped in traffic for hours, Jaiye Kuti and her children had to step out of their vehicle, leaving the driver in charge, and begin trekking.
She called the situation “pathetic,” and urged the government to take action on the Apapa Wharf Road to prevent trailers from working and obstructing other traffic movement.
She wrote:
“Please pray for us… This is pathetic! Can this government do something to these trailers on Apapa, wharf road. I am walking home at night with my children”.
In an update, Jayeola Kuti expressed gratitude to God that she got home safely, however, her driver is still stuck in traffic and she prays he gets home safely. She added:
“My car and driver still on the bridge. May God bring him safe. Alhamdulilah modele. Thanks, everyone am home now with the children. God bless you all Eseun gan ni. I pray the Government will look into this Apapa, Wharf Road problems”.*
