The commissioner pleaded with the young people to uphold the law and refrain from breaking it.

He praised the Nigeria Police Force for detaining one of the suspects right away.

Datti expressed his sympathies to the deceased’s family as well as to the entire Plateau youth.

The deceased’s father, Mr. Thomas Gofwan, thanked the commissioner for the visit, which he described as consoling, and expressed his gratitude for the condolences.

Gofwan, however, urged the Plateau Government to make sure that those responsible for the heinous crime were brought to justice.

The murder of Fwinbe Gofwan was a devastating incident, according to Elder John Gobak, a former secretary to the Government of the Plateau.

Gobak, the friend of the deceased father, recalled that the late Gofwan was a hardworking, receptive, and compassionate young man.

He cherishes people. He had a friendly personality and was always willing to help others; he had good interpersonal skills.

He urged the government to “deal ruthlessly with those arrested in accordance with the provisions of the law to serve as a deterrent to others.”.
